On Target presents innovative and creative television programs that capture the interests of diverse populations of Los Angeles, California and the nation.

Since 1999, On Target has aired on Los Angeles area cable stations, reaching over 65,000 households.

On Target's mission includes documenting people, organizations and institutions, who have made or are making historical contributions to the greater Los Angeles region.

 


Legendary saxophonist Red Holloway, honored at “Birthday Tribute to Ray Charles – L.A. Style” on September 17, 2005

On Saturday, September 17, 2005 , On Target hosted a community celebration tribute to honor Los Angeles ' own, music-icons, Ray Charles and Red Holloway.

Over 200 guests and celebrity dignitaries came out to take part in a wonderful day of listening to jazz, celebrating local history-makers, and enjoying great food at the Celes King Heritage House. Among those performing were Henry “The Skipper” Franklin Trio, The Washington High School Jazz Band Sextet and choir, who “wowed” and impressed the crowd with original compositions as well as classic Ray Charles arrangements. Bubba Jackson and James Janisse were the MCs.
