Armando Hogan & Brent Burton

On Target's mission includes documenting people and organizations who have made or are making historical contributions to the greater Los Angeles region.

Our debut documentary project, “History of African Americans in the Los Angeles Fire Department” focused on the rich history of the important role African Americans have played in the Los Angeles City and County Fire Departments.

Women of Color Breast Cancer Survivors' Support Organization

On Target is currently collaborating with Women of Color Breast Cancer Survivors' Support Organization (WOC) and ULAAC (Urban Latino African-American Cancer Disparities Project) to develop, produce and distribute "Surviving the Storm: People of Color Testify about Cancer", a documentary on gender specific cancer issues. These community based organizations are dedicated to educating, empowering and providing support for minority women and men who have cancer and their families. This documentary will provide a means by which underserved communities can learn the effects and importance of being educated about cancer and become empowered advocates about this and other health issues that are relevant to their economic and social well-being.

This project will also teach selected interns from WOC, ULAAC and youth from a media training organizations how to use digital technology to develop their own video creations.
